Description
Join us for “book club” structured discussions of universal design for learning and inclusive teaching, grounded in weekly listening to Podcast episodes (and/or reading their transcriptions) that may touch on various related topics. We invite anyone and everyone in the campus community to join this open conversation as a jumping off point to explore inclusive teaching ideas for shared learning.
The group will be rotating participant-led, which means participants would sign up for a week they would co-facilitate, including choosing the content and discussion questions, perhaps adapting the template agenda, and facilitating the conversation.
Possible content
There is a rich landscape of potential podcasts we might draw on, including ThinkUDL (here’s an example introduction to UDL episode with UW’s own Thomas Tobin), Teaching in Higher Ed’s Cultural Competence series, and UDL/inclusive teaching episodes in other podcasts for educators.
