Employers are increasingly asking candidates to provide a diversity statement as part of their application. This workshop will support you in crafting this important document. Starting with individual reflection on topics of inclusion, diversity, and equity, participants will draw upon personal and professional experiences to begin writing their story. We will consider how to incorporate  inclusive teaching and/or mentoring practices into the diversity statement, and explore strategies for highlighting work towards equity and/or enhancing diversity in academic and community spaces. Participants who already have a draft diversity statement are encouraged to bring it.
