Research demonstrates that building a student’s sense of belongingness is key to their academic success. Set expectations — and make a great impression — starting on day one.

Participants in this workshop, will:

  • Consider self and student identity as they develop their introductions for the first day of class;
  • Review course expectations and requirements through a lens of equity and inclusion;
  • Learn a framework for interrupting bias and microaggressions and practice; and
  • Reflect on their teaching this semester.

The Delta Program is proud to present this workshop with The Collaborative for Advancing Learning and Teaching, which offers workshops about teaching equitably and inclusively for campus faculty and instructional staff.
