Teaching College Students on the Autism Spectrum (Spring 2021)

Learn strategies and approaches that benefit all students by applying universal design principles to support success for students on the autism spectrum.

How prepared are you teach students with unique abilities, such as those who are autistic*? In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about the characteristics and experiences of college autistic students, as well as engage in activities and scenarios aimed to most inclusively teach this student population. Participants across disciplines will come away with new insights and approaches for serving these students, as well as incorporate principles of universal design that may benefit their students more generally.
