Improv to Improve Science Communication and Teaching [1/2C] Fall 2020: Wednesdays, 2:00PM – 4:00PM Use the principles of improv theater to improve your communication in multiple contexts and audiences, including talking with colleagues, presenting your research, and teaching in the classroom. Informal Science Education for Scientists and Engineers [C] Fall 2020: Fridays, 1:00PM – 3:00PM Learn how to communicate scientific concepts with a variety of audiences in informal settings. This course merges experiential learning with critical reflection on public communication concepts, processes, and issues. Create an Evidence Based Teaching Plan, 4-week series Summer 2020: Asynchronous sections start July 1 Prerequisite: One full-semester Delta or approved course in teaching and learning. Join this four week series to learn how to develop an aligned teaching plan with measurable learning outcomes, assessments that promote student learning, and engaging activities.
